April 3rd
It was decided by majority vote at our April 3rd meeting that the crab allocation for 2016 will not be given out to fish with a crab draw as has previously been done. Instead, the membership voted to put the crab allocation out to tender.
A letter was mailed to all eligible fishers. Enclosed with this letter is a tender form. If you wish to submit a tender this form must be received either by mail or handed in personally by the beginning of the meeting at 2pm on April 20th, 2016. Tenders that arrive by mail after this date, or are not handed in at the beginning of the meeting, will not be considered. Any tender received by mail will remain SEALED until the meeting on April 20th, where it will be opened and combined with those that are delivered personally to the meeting.
All tenders will be considered, with the lowest bid winning the right to fish the first license. As our quota is divided between 2 licenses, the second lowest bidder will be offered the chance to fish the second license at the lowest bid price. If they decline, the third lowest bidder will be offered the chance and so on until someone agrees to fish the second license at the lowest bid price.
If there are multiple bids that tie for lowest bid, the names will be placed in a hat and a draw will determine the winners.
If you have any questions with regard to this information or need help completing the tender form, please contact us.
