2013 Crab Share Payments.
August 23/13 - Crab Share cheques are now in the mail and should be arriving any day.
In the past few years, Inverness South has absorbed the cost of fishing the crab share. However, this cost has become too great to absorb and would not be financially responsible. Therefore, expenses will once again be deducted from the Gross amount before it is divided up for payment. The remaining crab income will then be distributed amongst all eligible members.
The 2013 Crab Share Payment breakdown is as follows:
Total Value of Crab Landed for 2013: $123,599.00
Less: Licence renewal $ 4492.00
Monitoring $ 1524.34
Biorex $ 1000.00
Bank Fee $ 14.00
Total Available for Payment: $ 116,568.66
Divided by 89 eligible members /89
Total payment to each member $ 1,309.76

Crab Share cheques are currently being written up and will be mailed ASAP, technical difficulties have held up the mailing. Apologize we could not meet the intended Aug.2, 2013 deadline. We will post here the day the cheques are mailed. Making every effort to have them in the mail by the weeks end.
Reminder: Membership fees can no longer be kept off Crab Share Cheques. If you haven't yet mailed your membership form to the new Central Registry, please do so soon. You only have until September 1, 2013.
